Closing services (Per request of the client and tailored to the client’s needs. Examples of this would be setting HVAC and water heaters to away settings, unplugging washers and dryers, shut-off valves to toilets, turn-off water to the house, covering furniture, bringing in patio furniture, removing perishables from the refrigerator, provide cleaning service and laundry services, etc.)

Opening Services (Per request of the client and tailored to client’s needs. Examples of this would be turn on all water mains, turn on water heater, plug in washer and dryer, adjust AC settings, open blinds, uncover furniture, provide cleaning service upon arrival, Laundry service, etc)

Pre-storm or Post-storm inspections (available only to existing Home Watch clients)
-We will send out an alert email if there is a tropical storm or hurricane warning for the area. At your request, we will check on your home pre-storm to ensure that all furniture is inside, and all shutters are down and perform any special requests for your property. Post-storm, as soon as local emergency services deem it safe, we will inspect your property, look for visible signs of damage, take photos, and send a detailed report to the owner. We can also create an action plan on any visible damages by reaching out to the specialized provider. -
Administration Fee (Consisting of but not limited to, researching contractors, gathering information or quotes for the client on their behalf, overseeing a project or arranging appointments or meeting with contractors/ service providers.)

What is Home Watch?
Home watch service is a physical eye on your home. An alarm company monitors entry into your home or a fire alarm but they do not monitor potential problems that can occur due to broken pipes, mold, pests, or vagrants. We identify those problems or the possibility of their occurrence and notify you for guidance. We also provide a refresh cleaning of your home during our visit.
Are you a house sitter service?
We are not a house sitter but a house watch service provider. Our core service includes periodic visits to your home where we follow a specific and mutually agreed upon checklist. We are in your home for the time needed to evaluate and inspect the core list. We also provide refresh cleaning as a bonus to our watch service clients. We also can provide many other services as our watch service goes beyond many watch service providers. House sitters are not looking to be caretakers of your property instead they are looking for a place to stay and get paid in a nice area with 24/7 access to everything in your home.
What type of reporting can I expect from you?
WYR-away will send you a detailed report by email with pictures of any problems identified upon completion of inspecting the interior and exterior of your home. We can handle any maintenance issues that may arise with your home, based on your home maintenance provider. We will reach out to the provider and discuss the issue, schedule, and coordinate access to your property.
Are your services expensive?
We think our services are reasonably priced for the value we provide. When you compare the possible damage due to a leak or damage by pests or vagrants with the cost, our services are an excellent value. We will be happy to discuss our pricing for home watch services and any additional services you may require at a free consultation.
Are you a property inspector?
While we check your property, we are NOT a property inspector. Property inspectors are usually involved at the sale of a property to do a detailed inspection of the structure, plumbing, electrical and heating and air condition systems. WUR-away provides a visual inspection of your vacant home or property looking for obvious issues.
What is Home Management ?
WYR-away is a professional licensed, insured, and bonded service provider servicing our clients north of the Broad River, Bluffton, and Hilton Head Island. We check your property and identify problems or potential problems that can occur while your property is vacant. We provide a physical presence that is not available through a remote alarm monitoring service. We are on call 24/7 for our clients if the need arises.
My alarm company provides security for my home. What value do you add?

If I need coordination with contractors doing work on my home can you help?
WYR-away will provide access services and can remain on-site for our clients based on a daily or hourly charge. We will communicate with updates, pictures, and any request the homeowner is requesting.
If you find a problem what type of notification will I receive?
WYR-away will send you a report upon completion of our visit to your home. Any problems identified will be accompanied by pictures and details of the problem. If we take any immediate action to prevent further damage we will contact you immediately to discuss what occurred and consider what course of action is needed for the repair. We prefer using your current provider and will be happy to reach out to them and schedule based on the problem identified.
Can you help me with home maintenance services?
While we do not provide home maintenance services, we can refer you to quality contractors or vendors and coordinate access to your property.
Can you help me with home cleaning?
We can also provide you with our in-house professional cleaning provider. We also provide linen service.
